S1.E9: You've Been Hiding Your Skills

The group enters the dungeon and finds the path splits three ways. The party splits as well: Sangshik and Jeonghu; Jin-woo, Joo-hee, and Chi-yul; and Kang Taeshik with the convicts, who take the right most path. Jin-woo, sensing the dungeon boss down the left passage suggests that one to Chi-yul, leaving the other two double-dungeon survivors to the center path. As they go forward, they reflect on their having abandoned Jin-woo to the double dungeon, and stumble upon Kang - holding one of the convicts by the throat with the corpses of the other two against the walls. A flashback shows that the two men meeting in the prior episode were the father of the girl the convicts had sexually assaulted (with the daughter committing suicide and the mother suffering a mental breakdown), and Kang Taeshik. In another part of the dungeon Jin-woo hears a scream of pain and races back to find Jeongho dead and Sangshik near death. Sangshik apologizes for his actions in the double dungeon and dies. Kang reappears by nearly killing Joo-hee but Jin-woo intercepts the strike. Musing he will need to change the story and outlines how he'll emerge sole survivor. Chi-yul attempts to fight (with Joo-hee supporting him with buffs), but in unable to bridge the gap between C-rank and B-rank. Jin-woo steps in to save Chi-yul and Joo-hee from lethal attacks when their efforts fail and kills Kang. Emerging from the dungeon they meet with Woo Jin-chul, who along with Kang had been the Hunter Association investigators Jin-woo met after the double dungeon. Jin-chul's suspicions about Jin-woo are allayed when Chi-yul claims he defeated Kang with Joo-hee's backup. Later, Joo-hee and Jin-woo meet, and she asks if he remembers, while holding up a small monster core.
